Mundane Monday #171: faces

For Mundane Monday #171, the theme is faces.

This is taken at a 90th birthday party, all three people related. I was trying to get candid shots when people were moving and talking, so this was a happy result.

Also, Trablogger is returning in August, so I don’t know if he will take Mundane Monday back over: stay tuned. Now it’s 12:31 in India and Monday, so I am going to go ahead and post, even though it’s still Sunday here….

Send your link or comment and I will list any on the theme next week.

Mundane Monday #170: beach play

For Mundane Monday #170, my theme is beach play. Structures, castles, games. Happy July…

Here is the link to Mundane Monday #169: shadow.

Send your pingback for photographs of beach play: is it the clouds that reach you? The contrast between temporary and more long term? Gull footprints in sand? The boundary between ocean and sand?

Have a wonderful week.

Mundane Monday #168: bee heaven

For today’s Mundane Monday, pick your theme: heavens or bees or both! This plant hums with bees when it is in bloom. The bees love it so much and I think that it must love being swarmed with humming bees. Think of loving and being loved so much.

Message your link and I will list all the entries next week.

Mundane Monday #167: water’s edge

For Mundane Monday #167, the theme is water’s edge. I took this yesterday on a beach walk with my daughter.

What water edges have you photographed? Air and water? Land and water? Ice? Cloud?

Link your entry and I will list them next week.

Last week, Mundane Monday #166, the theme was parent and child. I do not think there were any entries but mine. Message me if I am wrong.

Mundane Monday #166: parent and child

My theme for Munday Monday #165 is parent and child.

I have this small statue in my clinic. I have a small collection of parent/child and mother/child art that I have collected for years. I was separated from my mother at birth, from my father and his family at 4 months and back to my mother and father at 9 months. I was sure that adults loved me but I did not trust them: they kept abandoning me.

As an adult I understand that it was because my mother had active tuberculosis and that the first separation saved my life. But…. I can love people, but trust must be earned.

A patient said last week that I had a political statement in my waiting room. “I do?” I said. He was talking about this statue.

If this is a political statement, I stand by it.

Attach your parent child picture, political statement or not. And much love and hope for every parent and child and love.

Mundane Monday #163: rectangle

Good morning and welcome to Mundane Monday #163: rectangle. What is your take on rectangles, what perspective lifts them out of the mundane and makes a magical photograph?

And what the heck are these anyhow?

Link your post and I will list them next Monday.

From last week Mundane Monday #162: blue we have:

—- K.L.Allendorfer: sky and water!

Mundane Monday #162: blue

I am having trouble posting today, Memorial Day. My mother died May 15, and there is Mother’s Day, and her birthday is May 31: always near Memorial Day. Some years the last two weeks of May are ok, some years are hard. This year is hard. But I don’t mind thinking of her or grieving.

So blue, blue with grief. If you post, it doesn’t have to be grief or a memorial. You could just do blue.

From last weeks challenge: lighting.

K.L.Allendorfer with a light that is not mundane at all, here.

Send your links for daily things that are blue… or if you are blue…. much love on this Memorial Day.

Mundane Monday #160: stairs

Good morning! Another Mundane Monday, and the topic this time is stairs. But this is outdoors in Tacoma, so fire escapes qualify too.

I had trouble posting yesterday. My mother died May 15, 2000, and Mother’s Day is always near that time. Love to everyone else who has lost a mother.

I am a day late, but still present.

One other submission to last week’s Mundane Monday, ramp up.

Colette B with a mystery ramp.

Mundane Monday #159: ramp up

Welcome to the continuation of Trablogger’s Mundane Monday. The theme today is ramp up. I took this in Tacoma, Washington on Saturday morning. Tacoma gets more interesting each time I visit, with public art and many glass artists and installations.

I will list the different blogs on next Monday’s post. I am barely squeaking under the wire with today’s post, after travel this weekend and work today! I hope everyone had a great week last week!

For Mundane Monday #158 the prompt was all of the squares:

K.L.Allendorfer: a creative take on squares.

The Wishing Well: squares and glass.
