The Ragtag Daily Prompt today is starburst. Candy or sky? Hmmmm.
And then I have Elwha on my lap. He has the loudest purr. He purrs like a starburst.

This is my beloved cat who died in February 2020. She was named Boa Black or Feather Boa, depending on the situation. We got her as a tiny kitten at the pound. She had the softest fur and purred the instant I picked her up. She was 17 when she died.
For the Ragtag Daily prompt: dishabille.
Capricious captivating catapulting cats.

I try to close my laptop when I am not using it. This photograph is Boa, my cat who died in 2019 at age almost 18. I miss her, even though I love Elwha and Sol Duc.
I think of you daily

Sol Duc loves the neighbor’s back steps. I have permission to walk her in their yard. Walking cats is quite different from walking a dog. It’s more following the cat around. Elwha is quite scared of being outside in the day, partly because we live on a busy street and there are all those NOISES. Sol Duc is braver, but tends to stay away from the roads in the daytime. Cats like edges and shadow, except when sunning.
When I walk them in the early dark, they are both much braver. Sol Duc has gone around the whole block. She is annoyed when I won’t let her go under a house or way into a yard where I do not have permission. And she has seen birds and deer and another cat and dogs and other humans! Whew!
I wrap things for a care package for a family member last month.
The cats help. They really like the tissue paper and the noise that it makes and that they can crush it.
For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: crush.
This nap was ambrosial. The cats think so too.

Elwha sets an example for relaxation. As soon as someone goes to pat him, he rolls on his back. Belly pets are best.
For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: door stop. Elwha is big enough, even though not quite full grown AND he stops people at the door: “pat me”.
Elwha is the most “Rub my belly” cat that I have ever had. And he is perfectly happy here.
