This is for the Ronovan Writes weekly haiku #51, prompt words future and give. I have been reading Walt Kelley’s Pogo again. One strip yesterday worked it’s way from ptarmagin and ptruly and pteam all the way to a pun involving “non compass Memphis” in just four panels. Talk about away with words! I am studying latin again in my spare time, so I about fell off my chair laughing. Hooray for Mr. Kelly!

I took the photograph last summer camping on Marrowstone Island.
Ha, the joke is on me. That’s the June 2015 challenge. I’m leaving it up……
This is for photrablogger’s Mundane Monday #43, I think….doing this on a smart phone.
I love the light coming from inside…
This is for photrablogger’s Mundane Monday Challenge #40. I took this in Wenatchee when we were staying at the Red Lion. The light in the early morning through the angular windows contrasting with the curved tables and chairs….
This is for Photrabloggers Mundane Monday #38, a picture from a train returning from Michigan to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington in 2014. It was amazing to see the country pass before my eyes, sometimes slow and sometimes hurtling along to make up time in the night….
This is for photrablogger’s Mundane Monday #36… I picked the photograph before I looked at this week’s contest. Look, Jithin, what is missing from this photo?
Taken at Joshua Tree by me in 2009.
I took this photo yesterday because I am visiting friends in Texas. We had a memorial on Saturday and on Sunday we had a feast. I have perhaps tasted a single crayfish in jambalaya before, but I have never been to meal like this! Many thanks to the hosts and apologies to the crayfish: I am not a vegetarian…. So this is for Clare and Dean’s photo of the week! . I also am submitting it in response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Fresh.” Fresh with claws…..
“I weep for you,’ the walrus said, “I deeply sympathize.”
With sobs and tears he sorted out those of the largest size
Holding his pocket hand-kerchief before his streaming eyes…

Here is another picture of the park by the MarQueen Hotel, lit up with the Seahawk’s colors, early last Tuesday. I like the reflection of the coffee shop overlying the lit up park.
In Seattle Monday afternoon the sun was out but it was not exactly warm. Probably 40s and starting to cool off by 3 pm as I walked around. The fountain was quite gorgeous in the sun. I like this picture, with the woman trying to lure the little girl a bit closer. Over an edge and on to the slope leading down to the fountain. The child wouldn’t quite go, until the adult got up and held her hand.
I want to try adding a second photo.
Yes! In spite of the cool air, there was a person who went in the fountain! All of his friends cheered. I hope he had a towel and a change of clothes nearby….. I love fountains that are built to play in.
