For Norm2.0’s Thursday doors.
This traveling door/home/bike and kayak carrier was in Port Townsend. I did not meet the homeowners, but it looks like a lot of fun, doesn’t it? A home on wheels, a shell for people, a traveling kayak carrier…

For Wordless Wednesday.
OOOOooooo, maybe I should save this for Halloween, but I am going to use it anyhow.
For Mundane Monday #177, the theme is a photograph of something creature built.
We were leaving in the early morning and P nearly walked into this web. Then we both stopped and took photographs. It’s hard to capture the web in focus! When I moved to another angle, the spider is visible but the web can’t be seen with the white porch as a background. The spider is floating in space.
Link your photograph or send a message and I will list it next week.
Last weeks Mundane Monday #176, the theme was bones.
KL Allendorfer submits a fascinating project with students: Assembling the bones.
For the Ragtag Daily Prompt #77: encircle.
Doesn’t the tree look like a hand holding the tree house gently up to look at it?
Beloved, thank you for these dirty dishes.
Thank you that I have hands to wash the dishes.
Thank you that I have water, clean water, hot water and soap.
Thank you that I have a sponge and a sink.
Thank you that I have a home, that it has not burned or flooded or been destroyed by war.
Thank you that I had food to feed my family and my self, to dirty these dishes.
Thank you that I have food to put on clean dishes today and tomorrow.
Please, Beloved, help me bring food to those who need it, clean water, soap, dishes, homes.
Please, Beloved, open our hearts to others in need.
Thank you, Beloved, for these dirty dishes that now are clean and for the circle of life they represent, clean to dirty to clean again.
The Olympic Peninsula only has one wild fire currently, but the sunset last night was lit by smoke.
For the Ragtag Daily Prompt #53: zing.
My daughter was home for the weekend and I was trying to make a pancake elephant with the last bit of batter. But it isn’t. I think it’s a zing. Quite possibly a stinging insect or amoeba…. It was delicious.
For Ragtag Daily Post #47: clouds.
For RonavanWrites Weekly Haiku: child and safe.
The toys are beached, lost
here in the sand, I hope the
child is safe home, safe.
I love the great blue herons on the tops of trees: they look so comfortable even when the top is leaning way way over… I am no where near as comfortable in a tree! And think of being the size of a great blue heron and landing on that tree! I have been watching them locally more and more. They look unlikely and peculiar to me landing in trees, but it’s me that is uncomfortable, not them. They trust the trees and land with confidence.
