Over Thanksgiving I am in Michigan. It snows and the falling snow brings down more leaves. This tree has a circle of fallen leaves around the trunk. It is beautiful.
For my Ragtag Daily Prompt today: change.
This is East Beach on Marrowstone Island. After the rains, sections of the sand cliff have come down, with trees in the process of dying and the grass still intact in some piles. There are some seriously large chunks of clay that you would not like to be under when it came down.

We can see where the tide is starting to break the pieces of clay up and wash out the rocks.

So is the land encroaching on the sea or the sea encroaching on the land?

Just relax in the sun.

With the recent atmospheric river coming through, the water soaks into the bluffs and sections collapse. Most of the trees are holding on in the face of loss.
For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: loss.
My two cats are definitely a lap furnace.

Too close!
Frightening!
Oh, it’s the zoom lens.
Not so close after all. It’s all perspective.
For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: trepidation.

Mother Nature is not too worried about clutter.

I am planning to paddle on this small lake, soon, I hope. Though I may wait until the trees stop falling over and rivers stop flooding.

The kittens were both two pounds and a bit when I got them. Last Thursday they got their last set of vaccines for a year and they are now both six pounds. They are growing like weeds. My last cat was a small cat. If the stated age was right when I got them, these two are going to be BIG.
