Mundane Monday #184: rats

For Mundane Monday # 184, my theme is rats.

Any sort of rat. You dirty rat. Rats, this is not working.

The photograph is a pet rat. He is gone now, moved on to another plane. In memorium. He was very sweet.

Send your link, send a message, if you want to join the party. I will list them next week.

Last week’s theme, Mundane Monday #183: getting ready.

Mundane Monday #183: getting ready

For Mundane Monday #183: getting ready.

This organized chaos is from 2010. I am thinking about parents and kids. Here we were getting ready for our yearly synchronized swim team show. This involves painting the hair to stay in place with thick very warm gelatin. We did that outside. It’s messy.Β  Synchronized swimming might not be mundane to you but we all have times when we get ready or help others get ready.

My daughter is the one on the left: mom, you are bugging us.

Ready. Pretty much. With a little trepidation.

And ready hair.

And the whole team in the water, in the finale, hooray, we did it!

For last week’s theme: kitchen close up:

KLAllendorfer with lots of lovely kitchen photographs.

Mundane Monday #182: kitchen close up

For Mundane Monday #182: kitchen close up.

I love my blue butter dish….

Message your link if you want to participate, what do you photograph in your kitchen? Is it a new picture of something mundane? I will list the entries next week.

From last week’s Mundane Monday #181: shadow.

KLAllendorfer has lovely silhouettes.

Mundane Monday#180: fall coral

Mondane Monday #180: fall coral.

These are coral mushrooms. J said he can’t remember which color is edible so we didn’t eat any. We saw yellow and white too. We were on the Tunnel Creek trail in the Olympic National Forest.

Fall coral could be color or coral or …. something else. Message your blog or do a pingback if you want to join! I will list the entries next Monday.

Last Monday was Without words.

KL Allendorfer wrote Wordless Cat, with lots of photographs!

Mundane Monday 179: without words

For Mundane Monday #179, my prompt is without words.

Let’s see a photograph where the communication is wordless.

Ms. Boa turns 15 as my daughter turned 21. For a cat, that’s approximately in her 70s. She is smaller, has lost muscle mass. She can still catch mice. And she communicates: ok, mom, enough computer for today. Do something else. This was yesterday and I decided she was RIGHT!

Link your blog or send a message and I will list them next week.

From last week Mundane Monday #178 light and dark:

KL Allendorfer: a gorgeous landscape.

Mundane Monday #177: creature built

OOOOooooo, maybe I should save this for Halloween, but I am going to use it anyhow.

For Mundane Monday #177, the theme is a photograph of something creature built.

We were leaving in the early morning and P nearly walked into this web. Then we both stopped and took photographs. It’s hard to capture the web in focus! When I moved to another angle, the spider is visible but the web can’t be seen with the white porch as a background. The spider is floating in space.

Link your photograph or send a message and I will list it next week.

Last weeks Mundane Monday #176, the theme was bones.

KL Allendorfer submits a fascinating project with students: Assembling the bones.

Mundane Monday #175: line up

Today’s Mundane Monday Challenge #175 is “line up”. (It’s already Monday in parts of the world!)

The parent merganser led the rested group down the rock and into the water. They swam by us in a line, bunching up when the parent realized we weren’t rocks.

Submissions to last week’s challenge water color:

KLAllendorfer: waters of many colors.

Mundane Monday #174: water color

For Mundane Monday #174, my prompt is: water color.

I have missed two Mundane Mondays! Mea culpa! But…. I was really and truly unplugged. Nine days at a cabin from the 1930s on a lake with no outlet, no electricity. I did have batteries and so could take pictures.

Lake Matinenda has moods and colors: when it is calm it reflects the sky. I was up in the early morning a lot for the sunrise and here is a pink and blue lake. I love the moods of the water and the sky and nearly living outdoors.

For my last Mundane Monday #173: skies:

KL Allendorfer: skies.

Mundane Monday #173: skies

For Mundane Monday #173, my theme is skies: not blue skies. Skies that worry me. This is a fire sky, the sun setting through smoke that we can smell. There are no big fires near us, so I don’t know if this is California, Oregon, Washington, or Idaho smoke…

Add a message with your post or a pingback and I will list them next week. There might be a delay, because I have some travel soon.

For the Mundane Monday #172 prompt: windy:

KL Allendoerfer joins in: https://klallendoerfer.wordpress.com/2018/08/06/mundane-monday-windy/

Mundane Monday #172: windy

Today’s Mundane Monday #172 theme is windy.

Last night a friend and I attended a reception at the Port Townsend Marine Science Center. A beautiful evening and windy. We were welcomed by this wind sock octopus.

Entries for Mundane Monday #171: faces.

KLAllendoerfer chooses clock faces.

Send a link or a comment and I will add your post next week.

And here are some of the denizens of the Marine Science Center:

orange and purple

I am posting this now, because even though it’s 6:28 am on Sunday for me, it’s alreadyΒ  1:28 am on the Kamchatka Peninsula, on Monday! I live more toward the tail end of Monday, so I am deciding to post on Sunday once it is Monday somewhere!
