For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: bold.
Yesterday felt so spring like. I wandered around the neighborhood taking pictures. These are in a pot on my front stoop. I curled up in the sun in my lower yard and took a nap for an hour in the sun as well.

For the Ragtag Daily Prompt rus-in-urbe.
I am not in a city. I am in a town. But still, when the flock shows up at my feeder, I feel such joy watching them.
No snow now, but the Anna’s hummingbirds were guarding the feeder most of the time when it was cold, especially when I would thaw it. One especially cold hungry day, it dive bombed me when I went to wrap a warm towel around the feeder to warm it up. Fierce little birds!
But it also did the behavior pictured. I think it’s beak cleaning, but it sure looks like sharpening. Just like sharpening a knife.

For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: diurnal.
I think this is a female Anna’s hummingbird.
Every so often I get the flock at my feeder. I did this morning. I think these are bushtits.
For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: iridescence.
For Mundane Monday #200, my prompt is crop.
My subject, this hummingbird, has a crop. But I also cropped the photograph. And are we planning crops for the spring? There are other sorts of crops.
Tell us and show us a photograph that uses crop. I will list them next week.

Last week’s prompt was portal.
A new contributor bushboy adds a beautiful portal.
The Photo Junkie also joins with a portal in stone.
KLAllendorfer has photographs that are an Edinburgh portal.
I wondered last week if I should end this version of Mundane Monday with number 200. But I had not given warning, nor asked if someone wants to take over and anyhow, I thought, it gives me joy on Monday. Maybe it does for others too and isn’t one enough? So many thanks to the people reading and the old and new entries.

Another snow picture as the sun rose and things were backlit. The front of the house faces south.
For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: wan.
How will we know if the black cat is feeling wan?
