Happy April Fool’s! I don’t think this little bushtit is a fool. The expression is foolish or distracted but the bird is not foolish. It is wisely having a delicious breakfast in my yard.
Anyone can be captured with a foolish expression or in a foolish moment. Me, too! I love being silly and foolish with my kids and dear friends. My daughter says she can tell when I will be goofy before I say anything, just by my expression.
Home for me is as much outdoors as indoors. I took this last March. Ms. Boa Cat is guarding me. I am not sure what ghost is in the chair, but I am sure she can see the ghost. She is very aware of my moods.
The back of the library box folds down to a table. This is early morning and the library box faces south.
Here is a bit of the house.
And it’s good to stretch at home in the morning in the sun.
I took this at my aunt and uncle’s, in Covington, Virginia. The deer are adapting quite well to their neighborhood even with new and more houses and people.
I didn’t get a photograph, but they also have a metal cage bird feeder on their porch. Various birds visited, but it is the first time I have seen a pileated woodpecker at a birdfeeder, right on the other side of the glass. Looking like a pteradactyl, really.
This for photrablogger’s Mundane Monday #73: Boa Cat in her guard position. Except for her ears, which are in “my person is doing something…” position. This is in my backyard two summers ago, when the grass dries out. August, 2014.
