I took this in 2015 on the train from Edmonds, Washington to Chicago, Illinois. Curved windows and frames. Wonderful to watch the country rolling by.
For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: frame.

I took this through the window with my phone, so it’s a little fuzzy. Still, I love the flocks of bush tits when they come through.
For the Ragtag Daily Prompt scintillate.
No snow now, but the Anna’s hummingbirds were guarding the feeder most of the time when it was cold, especially when I would thaw it. One especially cold hungry day, it dive bombed me when I went to wrap a warm towel around the feeder to warm it up. Fierce little birds!
But it also did the behavior pictured. I think it’s beak cleaning, but it sure looks like sharpening. Just like sharpening a knife.

For Norm2.0s Thursday doors.
I took this last weekend at the Rotary President Elect Training. Hotel doors are more functional than glamorous. I curled up in a chair in this hall when I needed a little quiet time between meetings. I like the carving over the hall and the abundance of windows.
My mother had plants all over a shelf running the length of their kitchen. She did a pen and ink drawing of the riot of flowers and pots and leaves. She then did a second one but this time the snapdragons were dragons and there were elves and fairies and monsters in all the plants.
My orchid is blooming riotously right now, with abandon, to the point where the pot barely stays upright. I love orchids, how long the blooms last, and how they would rather not be watered too much, and a flower that perches up on tree branches in jungles: how delightful and romantic is that? This one is in my kitchen window and makes me think of my mother.
For Norm2.0’s Thursday doors. Sliding doors at the Northwest Maritime Center again, and I like both the reflections and the glimpse of the water through the building.
I took this downtown last week. The cat was sitting looking out. As soon as it saw me it headed for the screen part of the window. I couldn’t quite pet it through the screen.
