For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: hum.
Tictoc is the hummingbird who lives in my yard. I don’t think they can fly in heavy snow.

This is from Fragrance Lake too. With the overcast light, it is difficult to see what are trees and grasses and mud and what is only a reflection in the water. And it’s all a photograph, so the illusion is complete.
Mount Tahoma, Mount Rainier, the mountain effect on the clouds. The sunrise last week revealed a cone shaped cloud above the mountain. The interaction between the earth and the sky is so beautiful…. and from this distance the mountain is small against the sky.
every time I turn something off
I turn the television off in 2011
I turn Facebook off for a while
for days
I turn the computer off every morning
I turn the radio off
the stereo off
the lights off
the heat off
I sit
I listen to the wind
the birds
the sounds
I feel the wind
the rain
the ice
the sun
I touch
the earth
she is present
alert
awake
listening
she touches me back

Another fabulous Voiceworks class, this with Anna and Elizabeth. As the week progressed and we ate lunch and dinner with the instructors at the tables as well as each other, I felt more and more blessed and impressed. These teachers said, “Come talk to us. We have time. We are here and you can talk to us between classes.” What generosity and blessing.
Here is one of the Voiceworks Classes with Dawn Pemberton. My biggest problem is I want to go to all five or six classes that are running simultaneously and then there are people playing music in the halls, on the porch, singing in the practice rooms!
And we’re on our feet practicing singing soul.
