I got flocked a few years ago, to raise money for our high school students. So here is a graduating flamingo, climbing the ladder of the future….
Congratulations to the graduating high school seniors and to all the children finishing one part of school.
Another door, this taken by my daughter,Β of me and a door. We stayed in a cousin’s cabin because our most functional and least ghost occupied cabin was set for a new roof. My cousin kindly let me use their cabin.
My parents helped my aunt and uncle build this cabin. My father talked about it. I have been going to the lake since I was a baby. Now I go about every other year: too far for yearly.
Prayers for an old friend.
For photrablogger’s Mundane Monday #113, taken yesterday.
If this cup is a portal,Β where does it take you?
I took the photograph at the Renwick. I asked the guard if I could take photographs. He smiled and said, “We encourage it.” And it’s part of the Smithsonian….free. I could not take my tea inside, and that seems entirely fair….but, free, that is, paid for by the citizens of the United States with our taxes and welcoming people from all over the world to step in and see what is there…..
…..and where does this cup take each of us?
…..and does this fit the Daily Prompt?
If this is a portal, what is it a portal to? Where do you think it leads? Where do you want it to lead? What do you see?
This is for photrablogger’s Mundane Monday #111.
Though it isn’t a mundane Monday, is it? I always miss my mother on Memorial Day because her birthday is May 31. The end of May makes me a little sad. She died of cancer in 2000. But…. my feet look like hers.
It’s a selfie with shells and a beach, near fish… A shellfishie….
This photograph is also from my hike two days ago. These are broadhead skinks, I am told. Skinks are lizards and their family has 1500+ species. This pair was right by the hiking trail. I tried not to spook them and succeeded. They were still curled there when we walked on.
Last Sunday driving to Bellingham, everything turns blue and gold when the sun comes out.
