Two purring cats curled up, one of the most cosy and tactile warmth around.
For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: cosy.

Sol Duc lengthens and tapers when the temperature goes over 100 degrees. She doesn’t quite melt.

For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: taper.
I go for coffee with B in March, in the early morning. It is clear and the rising sun turns everything gold. We are out on one of the docks with our coffee. Two deer come to the water and walk along it, under the dock and back. They are not here to quench their thirst, because this is the Salish Sea, not fresh water. So what are they doing?
“It’s clear, let’s go down to the water. It is so pretty out. Now, before most of the people are up.”
“Yes, let’s!”
Just like us.
For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: quench.
My parents taught me the song. It dates back to the 1500s.
I have two desks on my main floor, and use both. Sol Duc likes the office desk and Elwha likes the other one. Sol Duc tucks herself under the lamp. I think the paw tuck position radiates peace.
I hope it radiates all over the world.
For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: radiate.
Elwha enjoying the rocker and the sun by my desk last July.

Breakfast, a little catnip, and relaxing on a winter morning.
For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: idyllic.
Elwha is asleep on my lap. I am the one purring because he is out.

Here is Sol Duc splooting as a kitten, in October 2021. It was not very hot, but she did like to lie that way.
She also did the opposite of splooting. Is there an unsploot?

Elwha is more of a “rub my belly” type. He means it and will not ambush you. He doesn’t bite but just does full throttle purring for belly rubs. He also is not supposed to be on the table.

For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: splooting.
My camillia has some blossoms now, but for the most part it is still shy! Usually it blooms in February and sometimes even January, but this year it feels like the blossoms are hovering. When will the weather warm a little? This bloom is buried in the plant, but the surface buds are still waiting.

For Cee’s Flower of the Day.
This is the part I want to remember.
This warmth and rest and relaxation.
Calm after storm and laughter.
Touch and leaning against each other.
Nothing in mind but rest.
This is the part I want to remember.
