Why, mom?
I am going through photographs. This is Elwha before Christmas. “Why stick with lights, mom? What is it for?” Good question.
Well, the stick with lights was ok when it got knocked over by young curious cats Elwha and Sol Duc. And I added four branches, but not a whole tree. I was traveling anyhow, so I did not want a formerly live tree.
Does my hair look ok?
Ok, they are feathers, right? I think this is a flock of Red-Breasted Mergansers. I took this in Puget Sound from Marrowstone Island on October 30, 2021.

Sheveled
The Ragtag Daily Prompt today is dishevel. If there is a dishevel, then there should be a shevel, too. Or would it be hevel? I think these crows look pretty sheveled and dapper.
clouds
Elucidate and cloud both slide off the tongue and share many letters. The cloud bank is so beautiful on the beach, but it also portends changing weather. Time to head home.

Changing guards
The Ragtag Daily Prompt is tassels today. I saw the changing of the guards recently. I am not sure whether they have any tassels on the uniforms, but the hats seem close enough. Very wonderful.

Elwha is very grumpy that he does not have hands for the food bag and especially for the cans.
