For the Daily Prompt: bewildered.
We were leaving for a Seattle, dressed up for a musical, and Patrick an animal on the road.
“Shall we stop and rescue her? It’s cold and she can’t move fast.”
“Let’s!”
He turned around, stopped the car, hopped out and handed me this salamander. Who liked the warmth of my hand. We pulled into a driveway, he took the picture, and I set our friend farther from the road.
Thanks to all the responders, fire, flood and mud.

For the Daily Prompt: evoke.
I do not believe in washing a child’s mouth out with soap. However, an adult calling another country or continent a “sh–hole”……
Our country is the real “sh–hole” for how we treat other countries.
For Norm 2.0’s Thursday Doors.
My doors to sacred are outdoors and music and loving friends and family.
We were practicing a Requiem. A door into grief and comfort.
For the Daily Prompt: finally.
Patrick Rubida took the photograph, used with permission. I put up the hearts.
For the Daily Prompt: finally.
I am failing to forgive
I am succeeding in forgiving
The people that I have let go
I have forgiven
I do not plan to see them again
They have hurt me grievously
They have had time and time, years
to contact me and to listen
They choose not to
I let them go
I am tired of being hurt
They have no remorse nor kindness
It is the people that I hold on to
Some hope that they are loving
Some hope that they will listen
Some hope that they won’t believe the stories
They still hurt me grievously
They do not answer and make no move
Listening loving healing
I have to let them all go
And then I can forgive
Beloved, I want to forgive
And there is no reconciliation
When no one will listen
For the Daily Prompt: finally.
For the Daily Prompt: torn.
