class

For the Daily Prompt: laughter.

A class on public speaking at the Rotary District 5020 meeting last Friday… a wonderful class!

Who knew that there are over 35,000 Rotary Clubs world wide with people working on ending polio, clean water, efficient and inexpensive stoves, projects locally and internationally? And having fun too….

fast cars

For the Daily Prompt: rapid.

There were 550 participants at the Rotary Conference in Tacoma this weekend. Wow! From 90 clubs in our District 5020. There are over 35,000 clubs world wide. Wild polio will hopefully be eradicated soon, and then it will be time to switch from the oral vaccine to the injected and that will take more time. What next?

The fast car above is from the Lemay car museum, but it is currently in the lobby of the Hotel Murano. The Rotarians had passes to the museum on Friday night… hundreds of cars from all eras, including from the time when carriage makers were making car bodies to order. Unique and hand painted and woodwork and gorgeous.

Mundane Monday #159: ramp up

Welcome to the continuation of Trablogger’s Mundane Monday. The theme today is ramp up. I took this in Tacoma, Washington on Saturday morning. Tacoma gets more interesting each time I visit, with public art and many glass artists and installations.

I will list the different blogs on next Monday’s post. I am barely squeaking under the wire with today’s post, after travel this weekend and work today! I hope everyone had a great week last week!

For Mundane Monday #158 the prompt was all of the squares:

K.L.Allendorfer: a creative take on squares.

The Wishing Well: squares and glass.
