wire

For the Weekly Photo Prompt: twisted.

Sometimes with small birds, I catch the photograph with the zoom and I don’t know who it is until afterwards. The clue here was the tiny crest: the cedar waxwings are back!

The wire is twisted, and the bird peeking over it’s shoulder at me. There were two, and they flew right away.

liquid light

For the Weekly Photo Challenge: liquid.

After the winter in the Pacific Northwest, and the lowering clouds wrapped close to us, the sun feels like liquid. The trees, the grasses, the birds and I all respond with joy and blooms.

Home

For the weekly Photo Challenge: this week’s theme is to show our Place in the World.

Home is outdoors. Home is the beautiful world, the earth, the universe.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers and to mother earth.

smile

For the Weekly Photo Challenge: smile.

I think this is last weeks challenge. And this is not something local or that I see often… except I do take photographs often and they bring me joy!

This is more gorgeous glass from the Hotel Murano in Tacoma.

Twilight

For the weekly photo challenge: opposites. I took this photograph in 2014, from a train, going east to west.
