For RonovanWrites weekly haiku challenge #67.
The words are cheer and call.
Calling brings up my sister, calling her and waiting for her to call back. She died in 2012 of cancer. Grief, not cheer.

The photo is the Mount Saint Helen’s crater in 2012, with the recovering area below starting to be green again.
For Ronovan’s Weekly Haiku Challenge #66, 2 of the 3 numbers of the beast. The words are pine and grief.
pine, supine, repine
grief, thief, disbelief is chief

I suppose the image could be a pine. But this is a picture I took from the Synchronized Swimming Nationals in 2012. Water can be tears, right? Sometimes we are immersed before we can be lifted out…..
For Ronovan writes Haiku Challenge #64, the words are tide and flesh, mmmmm, I am ready for Halloween a little early……
I wait for high tide
fresh flesh stretched within beach reach
tide reaches fresh flesh
I took the picture in 2005.
This is for Ronovan’s weekly haiku prompt. The words this week are guide and mad.
Beloved guide me
through red mad anger open
heart to shores of love
The picture is my son and daughter on the shore of Lake Crescent, Washington in 2004. We stopped driving for a rest. My son has just skipped a rock and I love the curve of his body and physical joy expressed. He’s trying to influence what the rock does with his body language. How can we all stay that fluid and joyful?
