This is for the Daily Prompt: tame.
Not tame, though. We were out for a walk and heard a warning chatter. Up in the following tree, caught by the zoom.

Taken at Kai Tai Lagoon, this week.
This is the second to last post in this series. I zoom back out some to capture the scale of this tree, our great blue heron, how she is so comfortable sitting on this branch so high up. Where I would not be comfortable at all. She amazes me.
This watcher is lightly hidden. Watching the tourists while I am watching her.
Even the squirrels are huge in Texas.
I volunteered at the Wooden Boat Festival yesterday. The children’s boatbuilding was very busy. This future sailor is working on design and navigation.
This is for the Daily Prompt: overcome.
I took this with my camera at full zoom and knew I was photographing a bird, but not what bird. I did know there were goldfinches around, because I would spot their flight, up and down like a wave, and heard them. IΒ hold my breath and freeze to try to catch the shot. This worked! Overcoming the disadvantage of distance and my limited vision…. and letting the camera work.
Let us also continue to work to overcome discrimination.
Sweet Honey in the Rock: Would you harbor me?
This is the last photograph in my series. I hope she is a neighbor I run into again soon! Great blue herons are so big, they need big trees to perch in, and we have them.
She lands again, in the top of a tree.
