For Norm2.0’s Thursday doors.
I like the layers in this photo, while my mind tries to figure out what they all are. And more than one door!

every time I turn something off
I turn the television off in 2011
I turn Facebook off for a while
for days
I turn the computer off every morning
I turn the radio off
the stereo off
the lights off
the heat off
I sit
I listen to the wind
the birds
the sounds
I feel the wind
the rain
the ice
the sun
I touch
the earth
she is present
alert
awake
listening
she touches me back

Mondane Monday #180: fall coral.
These are coral mushrooms. J said he can’t remember which color is edible so we didn’t eat any. We saw yellow and white too. We were on the Tunnel Creek trail in the Olympic National Forest.
Fall coral could be color or coral or …. something else. Message your blog or do a pingback if you want to join! I will list the entries next Monday.
Last Monday was Without words.
KL Allendorfer wrote Wordless Cat, with lots of photographs!
For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: ring.
We hiked the Tunnel Creek trail yesterday, about 4 miles up and back. Much of it was in shadow at the start, with sun up in the tops of the trees. We reached areas with sun and then it followed us back down the valley. Not all the way, the end was in the dark trees and wet.
We were mushrooming. We saw many more mushrooms than ones that we knew were ok, but it was so beautiful and healing. I love to hike.
Happy Friday! And back to the Kinetic Sculpture Festival!
I took a photograph of this delightful rat and her ride:

I decided to name it a Banana Rat, but there actually ARE Banana Rats. Images. They are also called hutia and live in the Caribbean Islands. I have never heard of hutia before.
I learn wonderful new things every day!
Taken in Seattle two weeks ago, for Norm 2.0’s Thursday Doors.
And here is where you go to see all the other doors.
