The parents were working to keep up with the young adults at Arches. My daughter complimented me on bringing water, a hat, sunscreen and keeping up.

Poser or posing?
My daughter, her housemate and her housemate’s parents came Friday night. We all went to Arches National Park yesterday morning. This is part of the Parade of Elephants.
This morning we went to the Colorado National Monument again.
My daughter and I both practically backed away from this optical illusion. CUT THAT OUT! NOT FUNNY!

Anyhow, the outdoors is my feed, nourishing and amazing all the time.

It’s not a flower, is it? But for Cee anyhow.
I took this with my Panasonic F150, zooming in, walking part of the Blue Heron loop along the Colorado River. Wow! Not truly ragged, but think if instead of combing our hair, we had to clean and arrange all of these fantastic feathers! The heron demonstrated many spectacular neck positions and can fan out the feathers in amazing ways. I tried not to disturb her too much.

Done for now.

I am taking walks at lunch time while I can, since clinic is getting busier, and checking out all of the surrounding businesses and flowers!
Rocks! I have more pictures of rocks than you can shake a stick at! Double meaning here: those rocks are at my home and the rock is home to barnacles and all sorts of other creatures. The seagulls like it too.
For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: rock!
Many of the yards here have weed cloth and then rocks. Sometimes this surrounds a patch of grass and sometimes it doesn’t. There are lots of early morning automatic sprinklers.
This morning my cat Sol Duc encountered a toad in our yard. This is the first toad she has met. She was quite interested but was not sure what to do with it. It hopped when she sniffed it or when she poked it with a paw. I thought it was not going to turn out well for the toad but then the sprinklers came on. The toad had a reprieve.
The photograph is another yard. These people are creative with their rocks!
