Sunrise with hoist
Sunrise, August 25th, 2016. I like the slightly grainy background and the sharp greenery in the foreground… and the boat hoist, abstract and empty. The hoist would loom, but the sky is so much bigger.

Taken this morning 20 minutes before sunrise.
Wooden boat!
Rushed out this morning for the 6:42 sunrise and this is my favorite so far! Contrasts, the ferry and the schooner and the small boats trailing… I worked yesterday so today I get to be at the Wooden Boat Festival! I have duties there today and tomorrow…. come on down.

Sun this morning, after driving my son early to catch his bus back to college, through patches of fog with the tops of trees rising like islands, like tree orcas, like mysterious whales, out of the fog as the sun rose.

For PhoTrablogger’s Mundane Monday Challenge #32, water again. I stopped to photograph in the early morning because an aircraft carrier was going by. But that is a different picture… The light and water is what came out and the grass in the foreground.
