Day lily and friend
For the Daily Prompt: bumble. I think this is a honeybee, not a bumble bee. I took this on the Mount Townsend hike. Lots of beautiful wildflowers but the bee thinks this dandelion is just dandy….
This is for photrablogger’s Mundane Monday #116. Ok, yeah, it’s Thursday. I am thrown off by four days off, my son visiting all the way from Maryland and the news of the death of an old friend, Monday.
The lower branches of the trees are dead, but are covered with growth anyhow: the hanging beautiful moss. I don’t know how the moss holds on through the dry season. Meanwhile the tree continues upwards, new branches reaching up to the light.
I took this on Mount Zion, two weeks ago.
Lake Street Dive: What I’m doing here.
For the Daily Prompt: pluck. I was thinking of the picture of the great horned owl, that she would not appreciate the word pluck. Would you pluck this bud or wait for it to open?
And a rose for my friend S and the people around him. Pluck is courage as well.
Call Congress, healthcare for ALL. Healthcare is NOT health insurance. There is a difference.
And then do something healing: climb a rhododendron flower trail.
We hiked up Mount Walker on Sunday and the wild rhododendrons float among the trees. Gorgeous.
For Thursday Doors…. I love the roses!
Flowers and prayers for an old friend who is sick. Sending love.
Good morning! Good spring! I am thankful for the soft pink and green of spring, for new growth, for bird song and goslings, for ducklings and the fierce hummingbirds guarding territory….may you walk in beauty for a part of each day…..
Rainshadow Chorale sang the premiere of Gil Seeley’s Morning Rabbit at our concert last Friday and Saturday. I took this photograph two years ago at WSU in Pullman.
Good morning, rabbit!
