For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: duck.
This photo disorients me. The ducks are in the sky, in the clouds, but wait. A duck can’t be in the sky with it’s neck curved like that. Or can it?

For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: duck.
For Wordless Wednesday.
Here is a Ruddy Duck, in the midst of a display. There were two males, with the fabulous blue beaks, and two more subtle females. This male was pursuing one of the females. She kept escaping and went near the other male and female. Safety first.
Normal chaos, 2010.
For the Daily Prompt: wrinkle.
Unstaged, messy, daily life is wrinkled and joyous and unpredictable.
We went to take photographs in the morning at Kai Tai Lagoon. We started at one end and walked to the other. There was a large distant flock of ducks, very quiet. When we got close enough for my zoom to handle, we found out why: most of them were asleep. In the early morning and gorgeous sun yesterday.
I want a day of puttering and napping and meandering, like these ducks.
For the Daily Prompt: meander.
For the Daily Prompt: conversant.
For the Daily Prompt: assay.
We went down early and took pictures in the snow. Kai Tai Lagoon was partly frozen. How many different birds do you recognize in our assay?
Buffle, whiffle, sniffle, snuffle… Isn’t bufflehead a wonderful name for a duck?
For the Daily Prompt: nest.
