Soft morning

On Sunday I went to Hurricane Ridge with two friends and skied. It was sunny and gorgeous and the mountains were out. I have never skied up there before. There is a rope tow on the front side and a poma lift on the back. I hadn’t ridden a poma before and it’s been years since I rode a t-bar lift….. used unfamiliar muscles going up the hill as well as down!
This is for Photrablogger’s Mundane Monday #96
Evening beach walk again and the dimming light made everything look a little different. I startled for just a moment, seeing this as a spider emerging from the sand…..
As the sun set last night, everything became bluer. The light was so gorgeous, fading….
I went down to the beach last night with my camera, to catch the light from the setting sun on the clouds and walk the beach.
I am realizing that I like my house but I love being outdoors and I love my work and writing and photography and knitting and exercise…. the end result is that organizing the house after 10 years of being a single mom, full time doctor and opening my own clinic, along with my sister’s and father’s deaths…. well, I’d rather be outside than work on the house. If sorting the house takes time, I don’t mind. I want to walk on the beach and see the sunset more than I want to organize….
Come with me…..
I took this yesterday with my cell phone. The sun was setting and moon rising and it was gorgeous.
Monday morning. We still have snow here and have had flurries daily. Unusual for here. Sometimes we just get snow that melts as the weather warms during the day.
For Wordless Wednesday.
These are the Cascade Mountains looking from the beach in Port Townsend, across the Sound. As the sun set, different parts of the range were lit brightly.
For Mundane Monday #95, which isn’t up yet….oh, now it is!
Good morning, clouds. Good morning, mountains. Good morning, reader and I hope your day is blessed.
This is taken from the ferry going from Whidby Island to Port Townsend.
