For the Daily Prompt: warning.
From a little ominous in the evening to this, as the night falls.
For the Daily Prompt: warning.
For the Daily Prompt: frantic.
The first black crowned night heron that we spot is holding very still. Fishing? No, after a while we realize: napping. Napping with head tucked, on one foot and not caring when a coot swims by.
That is a very talented napper, the opposite of frantic.
For my friend Caroline, a black crowned night heron. We were 15 feet away when I spotted it! Hopeful, we think, that it was camouflaged and we were just being tourists. It was not frantic, more watchful.
For the Daily Prompt: frantic.
For the Daily Prompt: quartet.
Three of four elements.
For the Daily Prompt: quartet.
Four legs!
For the Daily Prompt: micro.
Slow food, slow travel, oops! Do not get in the water at Two Steps Beach except at the steps! Sea urchins: we don’t want to hurt them and they do not want to be stepped on. We need to ask questions and not blunder in….
We are in Hawaii.
These are juveniles, we read, up to 140 pounds. They come on shore now that they are protected, to rest. The adults are 200-400 pounds. It is hard to imagine how large the adults are. We are not to go within 2 car lengths — hooray for a zoom lens.
For Mundane Monday 153: unusual angle.
I am traveling and will add more later, access tricky right now! And my photo won’t load….will fix later!
I followed this lovely blue foot creature from the top of the railing, to the side and then underneath.
Add your pingback and I will list them for this theme next week!
Here is Colette’s addition from last week, on the theme chairs and sun: https://bedressed.wordpress.com/2018/03/19/mundane-monday/.
