This is not a perfect photograph…. and yet, at the same time, it is for me. My daughter was home last week for spring break. She had a haircut and sent her hair to Locks of Love. The background is cluttered with the cupboard open and counter, but her concentration and quiet is a contrast to that. And anyhow, I am biased, right? We love even terrible photos of those we love.

Love how you captured the moment with such beautiful, natural lighting, Katherine. <3

  2. How wonderful! Please tell her thank you for donating her hair. I’ve never had chemo-hair loss but I AM experiencing pretty dramatic thyroid-hair loss and at my age, since my hair is really all I still feel “pretty” about, it is a BIG loss…well, I guess my feet are still OK…but anyway,
I know what you mean about these kinds of photos. My son always hates the ones that are MY favorites! I think this is a lovely shot and I think it tells us something special about both of you.

If you think it is appropriate, please share these posts with her. She may not fully grasp how meaningful her gift is…

Oh, thank you, how lovely! And your on line presence is beautiful, by the way, whether your hair is thick or thin!
