For Mundane Monday #173, my theme is skies: not blue skies. Skies that worry me. This is a fire sky, the sun setting through smoke that we can smell. There are no big fires near us, so I don’t know if this is California, Oregon, Washington, or Idaho smoke…

For Norm2.0’s Thursday doors. Norm is currently gone for two weeks,Β but I am posting anyhow… a creature of habit. I took this downtown two days ago. All the windows are tall enough to be doors.

More from my 2014 train trip. I love the long shadows of the hay bales. The other shadows are subtle: reflections in the window of the train….
Fort Worden again and evening. The light is changing but is not deep blue yet. The pale grass stands out against the hill in the changing light.
Back to Fort Worden in the evening at the end of a beach walk. Fading light and everything turning blue and beautiful and mysterious.
Back to the twilight beach and the waves rolling, back to an evening walk and night falling….
