I took a walk last night. This patch of lavender was 5 by 5 feet and the bees were so very happy about it….
When we left about 45 minutes later, the song sparrow was not on the sidewalk any more. It was in this tree. I didn’t see it at first, I heard it. It was still acting a little stunned, because it was trying to sing and was only managing the first three notes of it’s song. Hopefully it will fully heal!
Two days ago we came across this song sparrow on the sidewalk below a windowed walkway. Stunned, we thought. Not dead. I poured a little water on the sidewalk just in front of the bird and left it alone. It moved its’ head a tiny bit.

The boat is being returned to the water. This is for Thursday doors. Our boatyard has two cranes. This is the smaller one. The crane operator is in the back, leaning out of the door just a little to see. Two other workers help encourage cars and pedestrians like me to stay out of the way….
For the Daily Prompt: bumble. I think this is a honeybee, not a bumble bee. I took this on the Mount Townsend hike. Lots of beautiful wildflowers but the bee thinks this dandelion is just dandy….
I took this Monday when I was walking into the church to chorus. The tree is so beautiful against the greys of the sky and church.
For the Daily Prompt: bury.

What does this have to do with the Daily Prompt: grit? And with Great Falls, for that matter.
I took this at Great Falls, Virginia, on a hike. And even something as delicate as a butterfly wants to survive in our world.
I will be calling Congress again today, do not pass a bill to take away more health care form US citizens. Wake up, US citizens, our health care system is currently built on greed and profit. Let’s join the rest of humanity with medicare for all, single payer, instead of continuing to enrich insurance companies and healthcare corporations….
