Oooo, dad caught a fish! The kids are learning too! Small fry fish and small fry mergansers!

I took this in April 2022 on Irondale Beach, with the tide way out. Beautiful.

For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: fry.

I went downtown yesterday morning to pay a bill and a ship was coming right in on its way to Indian Island. It felt like it was right there, by the crane, which was already working. I grabbed my camera and hurried out.

A second side by side, the boats accompanying it.

And lastly two grebes, side by side in a mass float. They look pretty unconcerned about people and ships.
May we peace each other today and every day.
For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: side by side.
Container ships are huge close up.

Mount Baker is also huge and bigger than the the ships.

But the sea wins. The sea is vast and suddenly the container ships and the mountain are small.

Stars are vast too, and dwarf the seas.
For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: vast.
The seals look static on their distant rock, until I zoom in, stabilize on a rock, and get a movie. The tide is moving fast! There is lots of motion and the seals are alert and paying attention!
This was taken earlier on my walk out on Marrowstone Island than the photograph for the Ragtag Daily Prompt today. The tide was out further and everyone was enjoying the sun. Relaxed core and relaxing to the core.
The tide is in a bit more here.

The container ships look so huge when I am next to them. They don’t on the Sound, though. What do the seals think?

My daughter and I went to Cinque Terre in Italy. What fantastic architecture! Five small towns perched along the Mediterranean.

And perched long before cars, so the streets are cobbled and narrow. No cars.

Trains stop at each of the towns. We walked the open part of the trail connecting them. It must be some amazing work to maintain.

Afterwards we took turns swimming, found a place for dinner, and took the train back to Pisa.

For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: architecture.
This is a pie plate that I use as a bird bath in my garden. With the colorful leaves and water, it becomes abstract. ii

We do want to escape fear. We want to escape to somewhere else. No more deaths of innocents, any innocents. Escape, but send the message first: don’t let people die of thirst, do not, do not. Please, do not.

For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: escapism.
Ok, wait, green hair?

Also not blonde. This is the Great Port Townsend Bay Kinetic Sculpture Race. The fabulous parade and bribing of judges was Saturday morning, when I took these photographs. The costumes are wonderful. After the parade comes the brake test and the water portion of the race. The Kween was there and the Unexpected Brass Band. Then Sunday is the hilly portion and mud bog. The sculptures are all human powered.
Oh, look, blonde.

For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: blonde.
