Port Townsend Bay.
For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: sunshine.
The sky in Grand Junction is so open and big. And it is dyed amazing colors by the rising or setting sun. This is unretouched and right off my phone. Sometimes I don’t believe the colors.
For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: dye.
Sunday I drove up to Grand Mesa, over 10,000 feet. Wow. The aspens gold and the evergreens green and the perfume of the clear air. The high temperature was much lower then in Grand Valley. A sign says that Grand Mesa is the world’s largest flat top mountain and there are hundreds of lakes on top.

And you can immerse yourself in gold.

For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: perfume.
No, I just couldn’t put up a John Denver song.
Yes, there are things out on North Beach on the Olympic Peninsula.

I am not always sure what they were or are, but they turn orange with rust.
And then there are other orange things: this oyster catcher’s beak, for example!

For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: iron.
Careful, careful! That seaweed can be slick as snot and hiding a squelching tide pool. Not so deep that you fall in, but you may fall down and ouch! The rocks and barnacles are not soft.

Along North Beach, on the Olympic Peninsula.
For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: squelch.

Early morning light on the water.
For Cee’s Flower of the Day.
Not a lavender plant, but the color lavender. The first photograph is from my walk with Sol Duc this morning, along the irrigation canal.
The second is from last Christmas, at the United States Botanic Gardens in Washington, DC, in the orchid room

For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: lavender.
I like it when you can see the rain coming, the cloud in the distance with the rain coming down in lines and strands. I can smell the ozone and everything waking up in the rain, as if all the plants are talking to each other. “Oh, here it comes and I am so thirsty!”

“Wait, that’s a bit too much!” “Eeeee, hail!”
For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: rain.
The Grand Valley, mesas, sky and clouds shift through every color. Glorious.

The sky and cloud colors here are so amazing.
And here the cloud is the road runner.

This is an early morning moon.

And clouds just straight up.

For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: rally.
