Most of the goslings were snuggled in the grass near the shore, with the parents guarding on land and in the water. A few ventured just a little into the water….is this their first swim?
And I am going to submit this to the weekly photo challenge: reflecting.
Back to the goose family from last week. They are out for a family walk and a swim, with the parents alert and on guard for their little ones!
For photrablogger’s Mundane Monday #109. I took this photograph in 2011. This is a solo synchronized swimming routine. She lifts her legs out of the water to dance above it, while her arms are keeping her in place, lifted, against gravity,, never touching the bottom or the wall. Only the girl and the water and held breath and arms controlling the position and legs following the music and the lift…. it is not actually mundane, is it?
This photograph is from 2011. The Synchronized Swimming competitions took an enormous amount of time and work for the girls and work for the parents. And the coaches and the people who held the meets and judges. I am looking through photos and the girls had such fun together, older and younger, beautiful teamwork and joy.
This is for Thursday doors. A door on a barge….
I went to the Pourhouse last night. A four apartment building was arriving by barge from Vancouver. It was unloaded into the parking lot with two cranes and various trucks. Today they will be dropping power lines as they convey it through town.

The beer garden was very popular…. unique entertainment.

Everyone cheered when it was across and on land!

Ready for the trip through town, dropping power lines, today.
For Wordless Wednesday.
For photrablogger’s Mundane Monday #108, a truck being loaded on to the Port Townsend to Coupeville ferry. It is mundane but amazing too, packing the vehicles in for a boat ride and with the narrow clearance at the top!
