For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: orchestrate.

Photographs of my father’s boat, Sun Tui, returning to the water after a lot of repair work. I was looking for photos of my children playing violin or viola, but came across these. We had a team to repair the boat and a team to put her back in the water and raise the mast again. All the players play their parts and play together.

For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: sublime.

My daughter was home from noon Saturday until 3 pm Sunday. We took two beach walks in between her spending most of her time studying.

I zoomed in with my cell phone trying to figure out what the tiny gold boat on the horizon is. We thought either a light colored boat or a barge of sawdust…. It rained all Saturday night and some of Sunday and some of the time on the beach. But we had sun too.

This is looking north from North Beach, towards Vancouver Island.

For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: plump.Β  This turtle kinetic sculpture is not that plump….

Taken Saturday, at the water part of the Kinetic Sculpture Race. It is all human powered and they have to go out in the cold water, currently around 52 degrees F. Brrrrr. The teams have a brake test down Monroe Street first and then line up to head for the water. The Coast Guard stands ready and various kayaks and sailboats are there.Β  They have to get to a destination and bring back the superhero(ine) mask!

The theme this year is mediocre superhero(ine)s. Lots of glitter and capes and boots. The costumes are wonderful!

To the women and men who are speaking up, there is nothing mediocre about your heroism.
