The trees on top of Hurricane Hill and the Olympic Mountains are carved and worn by wind and winter ice and snow. They have to be tough!
Also there are still patches of snow on the north faces.

The wildflowers don’t care.

At Fort Worden, the lighthouse was open on Sunday! I went up. A kind docent took the photograph of me with my camera. The lighthouse has a Fresnel lens.
