fog roll
Early Saturday, the fog is rolling up over Marrowstone Island, with the distant Cascades showing above the fog line.
We got up early to photograph the sunrise on Saturday. The fog is lying on the sound and rolling up over Marrowstone Island. The Cascades are visible over the fog. Port Townsend Bay is clear and the water calm.
I am submitting this to yesterday’s Daily Prompt: educate.
You must be educated and know what you are doing to drive a tug into the fog towing a barge and yet be safe.
Blessings on all the people in the flooded parts of Texas and other states, who used their boats and education and skills to rescue so many people. Thank you.
For Wordless Wednesday.
Happy fourth and we did a beach walk.
For Wordless Wednesday and Blogging from A to Z.
I have two of my father’s cameras and this is taken in the early morning. Zoom lens, looking across Port Townsend Bay at Mount Tahoma, aka Mount Ranier.
As the sun set last night, everything became bluer. The light was so gorgeous, fading….
I went down to the beach last night with my camera, to catch the light from the setting sun on the clouds and walk the beach.
I am realizing that I like my house but I love being outdoors and I love my work and writing and photography and knitting and exercise…. the end result is that organizing the house after 10 years of being a single mom, full time doctor and opening my own clinic, along with my sister’s and father’s deaths…. well, I’d rather be outside than work on the house. If sorting the house takes time, I don’t mind. I want to walk on the beach and see the sunset more than I want to organize….
Come with me…..
A distant Mount Tahoma taken from the beach with the evening sun lighting the edge of the front. Beautiful.
