Early morning at the Wooden Boat Festival with the ferry heading from Port Townsend over to Whidby Island. I took this in September 2016, zooming in to catch the ridge of the Cascades and the early light.
The Wooden Boat Festival is in September. This is from September 2016, early morning, before the festival is in full swing. I am thinking of selling my father’s sailboat, sigh. Slip fees are rising and medicine is such a mess right now…. let go.
But the festival is a delight each year. This year it will be September 8-10.
For photrablogger’s Mundane Monday Challenge #18 and the theme is angles.
This is Sun Tui, built by American Marine in 1959 in Hong Kong. Boats have angles, sort of. Except they usually curve.
Sun tui is back in the water and has been out three times. I miss my fatherΒ but have taken her out with my daughter and with friends. She looks beautiful, freshly painted and crisp.
A riot of boats and color at the Wooden Boat Festival in 2007.
