Now, there’s a question worth pondering — and a beautiful flower.
thank you….yes, I just don’t get it. When do we get beyond skin color or gender or social status or all the divisions and get to love everyone?
It’s especially interesting since I first heard the commandment to do just that in Sunday School, in the late 1940s. The message has been around for a while, to say the least.
…and in all of the religions….anyone who hates a group of people for their skin or their gender or ANY reason….I just don’t see them as Christian or any other loving religion. I hate the actions of the white hating demonstrators in Charlottesville and yet send them love and prayers that they will heal and learn love. But I will stand against their actions.
It’s worth remembering that in any faith tradition, there are those who are more or less faithful. Sometimes, they’re not at all faithful. Some of the people who claim to represent Christian faith (the one I know most about) are so far out of the mainstream that it’s fairly clear they’re using the lable only as cover, to lend credence to their views.
Ok — now, off to work!
Dang, you mean no one is perfect?
