From late November 2022. The blackberries are drying and hard, difficult to pick, and the red ones are dehydrated as well. I don’t think they have a chance to ripen any more.

Back to my winter Maryland trip. We went for a hike in the Maryland part of Rock Creek Park and it was quite cold. The pattern of the ice and creek and leaves is gorgeous.

I took this in Rockville, Maryland.
This tree differs from the surrounding ones in that many of the younger branches go straight up. Like suckers on a fruit tree, but not just at the top. I saw fallen ginkgo leaves and oak leaves, but did not come close enough to this tree to look on the ground. We had a beautiful winter walk.
