The blackberries are still out. I took this yesterday at Fort Worden, after I locked my keys in my car. I called a friend, who was kind enough to rescue me. I had a clicker with me, but it too was locked in the car! I retrieved the second clicker from home. Whew. It was beautiful again yesterday but I ended up not doing a beach walk.

One of the things I like about our car is that it won’t let you lock the key inside. If you try to, it says “key detected” and you have to remove it from the car before the doors will lock. Yay, blackberries! I was once riding in Northern California (near Arcata), when I saw a huge blackberry patch at the roadside. Having no way to carry them I was forced to eat a lot before getting back on my bike.
I have a Scion, but also a 1986 Honda Civic. Not only can I lock my keys in it, but everyone in the family excels at jumpstarting cars because we have ALL left the lights on. Standard Si 5 speed.
