     Vitamin K is necessary for clotting. In a serious infection, the bacteria can “eat up” the vitamin K and the person will have cuts open up and start bleeding. Or will just start bleeding from everywhere. Death rate of 60%.

       I have had it happen twice, and once had spontaneous bruises start appearing. Absolutely terrifying.
