Otterly

It isn’t that river otters are unusual here, but this one is present rolling in the grass in the middle of the day. Between the bank and the ferry dock, in Rotary Park. Hoorah for otters and the Rotary, both. Otterly delightful to watch.

For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: unusual.

I love otters. I used to see them when river kayaking near the ocean. Once they ringed my kayak and started to make a sound like they were serenading me. It was magical.

oooooo. I had a mom and two teens playing on a dock 15 feet from me once. I just stood and watched. The teens would jump on the mom and she’d throw them off the dock into the water. They would hop into a rowboat and back up and jump on her again. Played and played.

Me too. Except when they were leaving “gifts” in my father’s sailboat. The gifts were very very fishy.
