For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: sanctuary.
I have been worried about certain patients and my yard hummingbird, Tictoc. But I am relieved to see Tictoc today, zipping around and sheltering when the snow starts back up.

Do you have a way to get a string of those little twinkle lights up close to the feeder. It will keep it from freezing. I have to bring all three of mine in at night during this weather but in the morning, when I bring them back out, the starving Hummers are ON the feeder while I am still hanging it. What a joy to see them up that close!!
I know, two were buzzing me today. I wrapped a warm towel around it earlier and that thawed it nicely, and then removed it later. I am going to bring my feeder in to thaw now that it’s dark.
How did you warm the towell? Microwave?
hot tap water
Too easy! π
…heh. I am wary of the microwave. Broken glass and hot syrup would be really bad. Plus what if it’s too hot when you put it outside? Burned hummingbird tongues?
