My camellia gets to this point in blooming and then, nothing. I’ve fertilized and still nothing. I had a single abundant winter with open blooms galore. I hope yours bring many colorful flowers.
My camellia likes the cool weather in the spring. It’s on the south side of the house and even though it almost never gets “hot” here, it doesn’t like the direct sun of July and August. I think it would be happier partially shaded. It was here when I bought the house 24 years ago, so is very well established.
Wow! Mine is pretty old as well. He needs a new spot, I’m sure, but way too big to transplant. Enjoy yours.
