No door

This building is being taken back by nature. This is at Fort Worden, on one of the paths. Most of the buildings are being preserved. The roof is mostly gone with branches hanging down, so we were careful investigating.

It is beautiful looking right up.

    I am always amazed by the beauty of buildings as the reach the end of life. It’s like they accept the decay graciously.

      The plants love the metals. Even plastic comes from oil which used to be plants and animals.

    I love how, both metaphorically and physically, nature takes over. Human-designed spaces disappear over time. Roots break up pavement, branches grow through roofs. Nature reclaims itself. (As a person responsible for maintaining a house, it’s another matter.)
