I don’t mow my second lot. We have cat/deer interactions and it’s interesting to see what plants move in. I am cutting down lots of blackberries but welcome the Oregon Grape. I hope not too much of this moves in.

I haven’t mowed since April or early May…but that’s because of a prolonged drought. Now that we have gotten some rain and my back yard is no less brown, I think the grass is no longer merely dormant, but dead.
Ours looks dead but the grass is used to no water in the summer here.
That particular flower looks like bindweed
