I am Elwha.
I am a cat and I would prefer to explore the yard on my own, especially the wild unmown part!
As long as I can run back when a garbage truck goes by! They are too loud!

We’ve used harnesses on our cats too. It was a great way to give them a little taste of the wild while keeping in control of the situation.
I have a fast street and birdfeeders.
We have a narrow and deep lot with a sanctuary behind. Too easy for a cat to get lost in. this spring we put up an all fence because the dog was leaping the short one we had. But it has spaces large enough to let small wildlife through. The last thing we want to have happen is to have a raccoon or a porcupine trapped inside the yard.
A neighbor left an exit at the back of my unmown lot for the deer, beside their garage. I think the deer feel much safer with exits.
So cute! When we had our cats, they loved going out in their harness! :)
Lol, those bin lorries, home is safer.
Nice to meet you, Elwha. Seems happy and safe on the harness.
They started as small kittens. Harness or no outside.
That’s a great way to do it. At least they stay safe this way.
